Providing a new and efficient way to develop applications for iPhone (News - Alert), MicroStrategy, a provider of business intelligence software, has unveiled a mobile application platform for developing and deploying iPhone Apps.
One of the major attractions of this platform for developers is that they can now develop the apps without coding. Earlier, they had to build the apps from scratch using Apple (News - Alert) SDK and now, they can introduce new apps without too much effort, the company claims.
Sometimes, using traditional integrated development environments to develop apps may be difficult and time consuming. MicroStrategy (News - Alert) Mobile for iPhone offers a new way to develop and deploy iPhone Apps that is faster, easier, and more maintainable, claims the company. It includes the infrastructure needed to support each new iPhone App and these iPhone applications do not require any coding.
“MicroStrategy's many years of experience in providing scalable, enterprise-class platform technology enables us to deliver a mobile application platform that is both industrial-strength and highly flexible," said Sanju Bansal (News - Alert), MicroStrategy COO. "Our new mobile app platform gives companies the flexibility to create a broad array of intuitive business applications and delivers the same high performance and ease of management and administration that is expected from MicroStrategy.”
MicroStrategy's mobile app platform uses an on-demand form of application deployment called "in-stream" deployment. The new apps are instantly available to iPhone users directly from MicroStrategy's mobile app platform as soon as new or updated applications are ready. This represents a new breed of business applications that are simple-to-use, highly focused, and available whenever and wherever business is conducted.
Recently, the company signed a global technology partner agreement with Infobright, the analytic database firm. According to MicroStrategy, the two companies offer complementary technologies that provide enterprise customers with a high-performance BI and analytic database solution. MicroStrategy added that the Infobright Enterprise Edition database has passed its test suite, qualifying it as a supported database for the MicroStrategy platform.
