IPhone -Tony Hawk's Trick Tips iPhone App Hits No. 1 App on iTunes


The Trick Tips iPhone application from Tony Hawk Inc. has reportedly reached the  No. 1 spot in Top Paid Sports on the iTunes App Store. Trick Tips is the first iPhone (News - Alert) application from skateboarding expert Tony Hawk and mobile developer Jirbo/EpicTilt.
 
The Trick Tips iPhone application includes text, video and still photos of Hawk giving step-by-step instruction for 50 of the top skateboarding tricks. The tricks range in complexity from basic to advanced. In fact, the tricks featured in the app range from Kickflips and Hardflips on the ground to Frontside Crooked Grinds and Backside Tailslides on rails. Hawk, himself, breaks down each of the 50 tricks in step-by-step instructions. Sequenced still photos of each step and video are also available. The Trick Tips app is one of three apps Tony Hawk partnered with Jirbo/EpicTilt.
 
Tony Hawk’s entrance into the app sector is in step with the company’s tech-savvy reputation for bringing his skateboarding tips, advice and knowledge to as many of his fan base as possible.
 
The Trick Tips iPhone application also includes features such as scrolling news from the world of Tony Hawk, a chance to win a skateboard signed by Tony Hawk, videos from ShredorDie.com and authentic skateboarding sound effects. The app is priced at just 99n cents for a limited time.
 
Hawkize and Faceplant are the other applications from Tony Hawk Inc. The Faceplant iPhone app will help users put their face into some of Tony’s favorite skate moments, save them and even send to friends. On the other hand, the Hawkize iPhone app enables users to choose pictures from their iPhone or iPod Touch photo library or take pictures from within the application after which they will be equipped with a vast array of Hawks’ personal items to use within the picture. It is also possible to share such pictures with friends.
