IPhone -Infoblox iGrid Now Available Through iPhone App Store

Infoblox Inc. has reportedly made available its iPhone application, the Infoblox (News - Alert) iGrid, in the iPhone App Store.

An enterprise monitoring application, the Infoblox iGrid App is perfect for customers who use Infoblox’s purpose-built systems for delivering essential core network services, such as domain name resolution, IP address assignment and IP address management services, among others.

Itinerant network professionals are set to benefit most from the Infoblox iGrid application that extends the power of the new Infoblox NIOS software version 5.0 GUI. Powered by Infoblox’s Grid technology, the iPhone (News - Alert) application links multiple appliances into a unified, centrally managed core network services platform, ensuring easy monitoring of Infoblox appliances.

Infoblox unveiled the NIOS software version 5.0r1 last month, according to a TMCnet report.

“DNS, DHCP and IPAM services are mission-critical with availability required 24/7 in any organization,” said Richard Kagan, vice president of marketing at Infoblox, in a statement. “The Infoblox iGrid iPhone App is important for our customers because it gives them the ability to easily and remotely monitor the real-time status of their Infoblox grids.”

Through the iGrid application, network professionals get instant access to critical information regarding the health of their core network services. They also get access to appliance and hardware status for CPU usage, database capacity usage, LAN port, LCD, memory usage, replication and temperature.

The application allows administrators to monitor their entire DNS, DHCP and IPAM infrastructure and associated data -- including software updates and upgrades, backups and restores, disaster recovery functions and all service management capabilities – more quickly.

The iGrid iPhone application is free and works with Infoblox appliances running Infoblox NIOS software version 5.0r1 with Infoblox Grid technology.

For non-Infoblox users, the iGrid iPhone App includes a fully functional “demo” mode that loads a sample set of data to showcase the ease of use and robust capabilities and services delivered by Infoblox appliances.
