IPhone -HealthFusion Unveils New BlackBerry, iPhone App

HealthFusion, a customer-focused, Web healthcare software solution provider has reportedly released a progressive mobile application for physicians and healthcare workers to help them utilize their BlackBerry or iPhone (News - Alert) mobile smartphones to view office schedules and patient insurance eligibility status on-the-go.

These tools are important for physicians to capture fees for services, particularly as they are making rounds at hospitals or after-hour calls to patients from home.

“The use of technology in physician practices can go a long way in addressing the challenges of today’s healthcare,” said Dr. Sol Lizerbram, chairman of HealthFusion.

Lizerbram said that these new applications will give physicians the tools they need to treat patients, no matter where they are, and to help ensure they are reimbursed for their services.

The company is offering the new HealthFusion Mobile Apps at no additional cost to its HealthFusion customers and said the same app will be later available for download at the Apple (News - Alert).com-hosted iPhone application store.

Founded by physicians in 1998, HealthFusion is a leading national Clearinghouse and Practice Management System for Web healthcare transactions that connects providers with over 2,000 insurance companies and supports billing, scheduling, claims submission/status, real time eligibility, denial management, electronic remittance advice, electronic prescribing, PQRI, and reporting.
