LTech, a provider of products and services for enterprise cloud computing, has
reportedly announced to launch its ‘LTech Single Sign-On for Google (
News -
Alert) Apps.’
The offering is a cloud enablement product for the Google Apps platform, through which small, mid and large-sized organizations will be able to deploy their ActiveDirectory or LDAP-based directory investment to secure the cloud-based Google Apps collaboration platform. The solution offers extnsive support for password changes, rules and synchronization so that IT administrators are able to offer end-user continuity and security.
Enterprises can install the ‘LTech Single Sign-On for Google Apps’ at their own location within the corporate firewall or on LTech's hosted platform. The end-users can even continue using their existing credentials to access Google Apps from browser, mobile device or third-party mail clients like GMail, iPhone (
News -
Alert) and Microsoft Outlook. Users find it convenient as the don’t have to continuously update multiple passwords, and the IT administrators are able to actively control password strength and management policies.
The ‘LTech Single Sign-On for Google Apps’ is equipped with a number of enhaced features, such as support to IMAP and POP access and synchronization with mobile devices and third-party messaging clients. It offers a high level of encryption, high-availability configurations and secure LDAPS and SAML support, and lets the end users customize their sign in, sign out and change password pages with the help of the templates that have been provided for seamless integration. It provides efficient password management by updating passwords in both Google Apps and the enterprise directory, and supports advanced password policy settings. The solution is compatible with Windows 2003 and 2008 Servers, and can be installed easily with the help of a wizard based installer.
According to Ed Laczynski, founder and CTO for LTech, ‘LTech Single Sign-On for Google Apps’ provides unique features for the Google Apps platform. Laczynski added that company’s customers enjoy its password management features that eliminate the need to support multiple credentials between their on-premise and cloud applications.
Manu Jaggi, Director of IT, Wentworth Group of Companies, said that ‘LTech Single Sign-On for Google Apps’ met all of his company’s requirements, including change password capabilities, at a price that really makes sense.
Recently, LTech had signed a partnership
agreement with RightScale, Inc., a provider of cloud computing management solutions, according to which LTech will offer RightScale’s Cloud Management Platform to customers enabling them to reduce the cost and complexity of enterprise cloud computing. Later, the company announced the
availability of LTech Google Docs Backup, a new downloadable tool for improved backup, archiving and management of Google Docs.
