With the Presently SharePoint Web Part, businesses can view and post updates to their company’s micro-blogging network directly from within the SharePoint portal. Companies can now securely and easily integrate micro-blogging into existing business processes as it can be combined with Presently’s proven behind-the-firewall enterprise installation options.
“What we’ve found are companies that love the idea of internal micro-blogging but aren’t looking for a disruption in their existing processes,” said Yoshi Maisami, co-founder of Intridea (

As a result of this release, SharePoint joins the larger array of platforms that can connect directly to Presently, including Blackberry, Windows Mobile, iPhone and Android (

“Our goal is to make it as simple as possible for any business anywhere to bring the powerful information-sharing of micro-blogging to its employees,” said Maisami. “A large part of that strategy is to release free, open tools for as many platforms as we can.”

announced that VisualCV has integrated Intridea’s MediaPlug media appliance server with its software for building, sharing and managing Internet resumes. As a result, company officials say, VisualCV customers can create “media-rich resumes,” called “VisualCVs,” that include photos, audio, video and more.
A little over a year ago, the company
launched Present.ly, a Twitter-like short-form communication tool for the enterprise. The product “combines the universal premise of Twitter with collaboration, security and privacy, an API for enterprise integration and a software-as-a-service model,” according to company officials.
