IPhone -Speakeasy Launches EasyVoice Mobile for iPhone

Broadband voice and data provider Speakeasy has reportedly launched a new application called EasyVoice Mobile for iPhone (News - Alert).

According to officials with Speakeasy, the new EasyVoice Mobile offers savings and the flexibility of Speakeasy’s hosted voice to business customers using the iPhone, including free international calling to 22 countries and integration of Speakeasy's (News - Alert) remote office functionality.

Also, users gain more control of business calls made and received on an iPhone, including the ability to place calls on hold, set the do not disturb function and transfer calls to another number or voicemail.

Bruce Chatterley (News - Alert), Speakeasy CEO, said the iPhone is increasingly functioning as both a personal and business phone, and they wanted their customers to have access to an application that helps them stay connected to the office wherever they go.

The company is currently offering the new EasyVoice mobile iPhone application only to Speakeasy business customers as an extension of Speakeasy's Hosted Voice service.

Speakeasy also recently announced the expansion of its business Ethernet service in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington DC. This expansion will allow small business to gain more powerful bandwidth options than a DSL or T1 for reduced costs per megabit, with symmetrical broadband speeds of 3 Mbps, 5 Mbps and 10Mbps using business Ethernet.
