According to the company officials, WxFix gives users a precise forecast for the exact locations they want, conforming to their daily activities and plans. WxFix uses the most advanced proprietary meteorological forecasting technology available today, company officials said.
It also incorporates continuously updated National Weather Service local weather radar loops overlaid on a high-resolution satellite image map, enabling users to track changing weather conditions in near-real time for their current or favorite locations.
NWS severe weather alerts are also automatically provided for each favorite location.
Officials said that WxFix provides a forecast at the exact location the user requests, whether it’s at home, on the golf course, at the beach or even a mountaintop.
Only WxFix, company officials claimed, gives users a personalized weather “pin” to simply drop and point anywhere on a map to get the forecast for a specific location – anywhere in the continental U.S. Eelios calls this concept “Lifestyle Weather.”
“With the launch of WxFix on the App Store we’re solving the problem of getting a good weather forecast for the exact locations you want,” said Dave Andersen, CEO of Eelios, in a statement.
Andersen said that WxFix gives the weather geographically specific to ones needs.
“Just drop a pin on a map for any point you want to monitor. WxFix gives you the forecast and syncs it dynamically to your location as you move around. It’s all about making daily life more enjoyable and productive.” Andersen said that iPhone (

Jim Maury, COO and head of Eelios software development said that the company built WxFix with the user in mind.
“This app is a significant step forward in what can be done for the individual mobile customer when you combine the advances in location-based technology and weather forecasting techniques,” added Murray.
