IPhone -Kosher Cookbook App Scores Spot on iTunes 'Hot' List

Hungry, tech-savvy, Kosher-observing foodies are doing a lot of clicking on their iPod Touch and iPhone (News - Alert) interfaces lately.

Or at least that’s the word on the street from APPSolute Media, which today alerted the presses that its five-star-rated “Kosher Cookbook” was selected for the iTunes “What’s Hot” Section.

Just before the Jewish New Year in September, Valley Stream, N.Y.-based APPSolute Media launched Gloria Kobrin’s “Kosher Cookbook” for iPhone and iPod Touch users – its first digital recipe book as part of its new Cookshelf application.

The Kosher Cookbook is designed specifically for the on-the-go iPhone and iPod Touch users, and offers hundreds of recipes, custom meal plans and the ability to create personalized shopping lists. The product is available in 10 countries including the United States, Canada, Japan, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy and Sweden.

“We’re thrilled to be listed in the iTunes’ ‘What’s Hot’ section, which is reserved for the most popular iPhone applications on the market today,” said APPSolute Media’s CEO Alexander Libkind. “With the most recent release, we have added over 100 photos of our most popular recipes and a key ingredient search. We’re carefully listening to community feedback and we look forward to bringing even more features to our users in the coming months.”

To download the Kosher Cookbook application, search for “Kosher Cookbook” on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iTunes interface and download it for $4.99.

Then, click on the chocolate-covered pear application. You’ll be led to a menu where you can choose recipes and add ingredients to a one-click shopping list.

“Having the ability to rapidly create shopping lists,” Libkind told TMCnet, “is also something you can’t really do with a cookbook or a printed recipe.”
