Officials claim that by using LogMeIn users have reported that they can remotely and smoothly work on their mission critical files, systems, applications and data from the Touchscreen interfaces of either their iPhone or iPhone Touch handheld devices.
Among Smartphones, the iPhone is the most popular because it has captured nearly
50 percent of the U.S. and Canadian Smartphone market, and
33 percent of global Smartphone market.
Among consumer electronic devices, Smartphones are the gizmos that have a
demand in the current down economy as evidenced by the following commentary, 1.21 billion mobile handsets, including 171 million Smartphones, were sold in the year 2008 resulting in a 5.4 percent increase in sales over the previous year, and with other handset sales struggling to grow substantially, companies are
ramping up their marketing strategy for selling Smartphones.
Aka Gvakharia, a physician in practice with the Cardiology of Virginia group said, “A lifesaver when it comes to cardiac care, time and information are both critical. Ignition for iPhone gives me the information I need to decide the best course of action."
Officials claim that on one occasion the doctor was able to access a patient’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) from his home computer at 3:30 in the morning while the patient was being resuscitated from cardiac arrest in the emergency room, and he finds it a convenient tool to have rather than lug around a laptop.
LogMeIn (

The company claimed that people are now even using the application to access multiple computers. For example, they said, Steve Labrum, a road warrior entrepreneur, needed an easy way to work remotely for two different companies without carrying two separate laptops.
"In my experience, no other program comes close to the speed, ease of use and general reliability of LogMeIn,” said Neil Shapir, an online specialty book retailer. “It's almost like being at the computer, it's that fast."
LogMeIn claims the speed at which the application allows users to access their computers is significantly adding to the customer experience, and said the Shapir uses it to stay connected to his business and customers while traveling.
The company says it worth the investment in time to review Jason Farque’s
You Tube video demonstration to further understand the far reaching advantages that LogMeIn delivers. Farque, said officials, uses LogMeIn Ignition for iPhone to control a GPU folding farm, Atlas Folder, which is dedicated to finding a cure for Huntington's disease.
"Since the launch of LogMeIn Ignition for iPhone and iPod touch, our customers have found many unique uses for our remote access technology," said Andrew Burton, vice president for SMB and Consumer Products at LogMeIn. "These examples demonstrate the impact that remote access can have on our everyday lives, productivity and business competitiveness."
Last year LogMeIn Rescue was added to the
salesforce.com’s Force.com AppExchange to
ensure the integration of customer contact and case management with a SaaS (

The company added that LogMeIn Ignition for iPhone and iPod touch connects to desktops and laptops running LogMeIn Pro, LogMeIn Free or LogMeIn IT Reach and can be used to control Windows-based PCs and Apple computers.
LogMeIn said its product is normally available for a cent under $30, but for a four hour burst sometime during this week, it will be available for only a $19.99.
