Alert) handled nearly 15 million Wi-Fi connections on its network, a 41 percent increase over the first quarter of this year. With approximately 25.6 million connections so far in 2009, Wi-Fi connections this year have already surpassed the 20 million connections seen in all of 2008.
In part, that may be the result of an iPhone (

Alert) firmware release that has made it easier for users to log in to AT&T hot spots. Now, the iPhone automatically detects available networks and logs users in automatically.
Once again, we see evidence that iPhones really do drive different behavior.
