Callpod, a creator of mobile accessories and software applications, recently announced that users of the Palm Pre, Treo Pro and Treo 800w can now charge these devices anywhere with FuelTank from Callpod. FuelTank is Callpod’s portable emergency device charger.

 

Said to be a lightweight, thin and portable, the Fueltank device charger fits into a bag or purse easily. The product is designed to rapidly charge two mobile devices at the same time and it comes with the capacity of 7 standard mobile phones. It can charge over 3,000 different devices across all major manufacturers which includes; Smartphones, Cell Phones, GPS Units, PDAs, Game Systems, Bluetooth Headsets, Digital Cameras, Digital Readers, MP3/iPods.

 

The Fueltank is said to have a rechargeable lithium ion fuel cell coupled with Callpod's proprietary voltage regulation technology which optimizes charging time and battery life. With simple device adapters, the product can charge more than 3,000 different devices across the top major brands, said the company. Moreover, Fueltank also contains independent voltage regulation and circuit protection.

Callpod is a Chicago-based mobile devices and software technology company. The company recently had launched its multiple-device charger, the Chargepod and also the Keeper, a military-grade, encrypted password and data vault software for Smartphones and Computers.

 

The company claims its portable charger - Fueltank to be extremely versatile and is very similar to Chargepod in allowing the users to customize their charger and to meet their exact needs. 

 

Reportedly, the Fueltank is currently available at Palm stores with multiple adapters.
