IPhone -Rmbr Intros Free Beam-to-Twitter Update and beamME Pitch Application to beamME


New York City-based rmbr, a provider of applications for mobile devices, announced a free update for its beamME application, beam-to-Twitter support for Apple iPhone (News - Alert), which allows beamME users to send electronic business cards, resumes or documents directly from their iPhone/iPod Touch securely to any Twitter user ID.
Rmbr also announced the launch of beamME Pitch, which is an application that facilitates beamME user to send a professionally formatted PowerPoint, PDF, Word Doc or text file from an iPhone to any other mobile device or computer. This encourages green, real-time delivery of marketing materials, said the company.
According to rmbr, its beamME applications facilitates professionals to exchange their digital contact information, resumes/CVs and documents directly from their iPhone or iPod Touch - via email, SMS or Twitter. For example, new contact information can be entered into a contact point on the iPhone/iPod Touch device and then using beamME service the information can be delivered securely to the destination mobile phone or computer.
Rmbr said that the recipients of the information do not need any Smartphone, software download or site registration to receive information. The beam applications are automatically formatted to be legible on most devices and they are device, social network and carrier neutral.
 When using Twitter, vCards and documents are delivered as secure links in "D" messages, and non-followers are invited to connect before receiving information, said the company.
Available for $5.99, the new beamME Pitch application enables professionals to upload an executive summary, presentation, brochure or any other document in most standard formats such as PowerPoint, PDF, Word, Text etc and can be sent using beam application, with a vCard and introduction to any phone or computer, said the company.
Rmbr said that a tree is planted for every copy sold in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation.
