The Truphone (News - Alert) 3.0 application for iPhone launched by Truphone promises to be a better mobile VoIP app for the Apple handset.

 

Truphone has said that it has built this new upgrade upon the success of its previous versions of the iPhone’s (News - Alert) first ever VoIP application, enhancing users’ instant messaging and account management experience, faster than ever before, and delivering a new standard for call quality.

Truphone 3.0 is a mobile VoIP application which offers huge savings on international calls to mobiles and landlines. Users can download this free app to their iPhones and the app saves money by re-routing calls over the internet.

 

Truphone has added a suite of advanced features to its new VoIP service for mobile phones. This latest version includes several improvements like SMS over IP, better presence management, auto-logging to previously used WiFi (News - Alert) hotspots, multi-SIM support and the new upgrade now has the ability to work over 3G networks.

 

When in Wi-Fi hotspots Truphone app can be used to call other Truphone, Skype (News - Alert) and Google Talk users for free and when in Wi-Fi free instant messages can be sent to Skype, MSN Messenger, Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger and AIM.

 

Truphone has stated that by using its integrated messaging tool that unifies all IM communities in a single place, users can now simply manage all their IM communication from a single page within the application, eliminating the need to constantly jockey between different applications or even different pages within an application.

 

Geraldine Wilson (News - Alert), CEO, Truphone has stated that the company works on three principles – simplicity, quality and a good deal and Truphone 3.0 is built on these principles. They have now enhanced UI and account management tools and removed the need for compression by utilizing new advances in signal processing, making calls crystal clear.
