) iPhone 3G -- a cell phone with multiple media applications.
Experian Simmons conducts on-going consumer behavior studies to provide the answers to the “who, what, where, when, how, how often, and why” questions. The company collects data from various consumer behavior studies, to give their clients up-to-date information on their target consumers including, what magazines they read, what television programs they watch, what products they buy, and even how they feel about certain issues.
According to the report, the cell usage behavior of Americans and which cell phones are most popular, are the Nokia (News
) E71 and Apple iPhone 8G which stand in second and third place.
Experian Simmons reviewed its data to better understand the cell phone usages by men compared to women. One finding revealed that men primarily use cell phones for business while women use them for personal reasons. In addition, though men are more likely than women to transfer from a land line to a cell phone, because there are more women who have already made the switch.
Cell phones with numerous features, such as a cameras, an MP3 player and access to the Internet are a catchy for consumers. Cell phones give geographical freedom, eliminating the need to sit by the telephone waiting for a call. In addition, cell phones are not just for talking anymore.

A recent report from Harris Interactive (News
) reveals that, one in seven adults now only use cell phones and there is increase in cell phone usage over the traditional landline telephone coverage. One in five adults do not have a landline telephone and only 79 percent currently do.
