Voice-over-IP (VoIP) Managed Services and solutions provider VoIP Logic (News
) announced an interface extension to its Cortex OSS today from the ITEXPO East 2009
The Cortex OSS is designed to allow ease of integration with Apple’s (News
) mobile operating system and offers carriers and service providers a new solution for complex next-generation deployments, according to Micah Singer, CEO of VoIP Logic.
“Worldwide iPhone (News
) adoption continues to grow at a staggering rate; Apple has done an excellent job of bringing the power of the networked PC to the palm-top. It makes sense that business and consumer users would want to conveniently manage their telephone presence while working remotely,” said Singer.
The company’s proprietary Cortex OSS helps carriers and service providers to easily deploy and manage customized, scalable VoIP systems and solutions.
The offering provides a single point of integration for provisioning, customer service, billing and customer self-care across a growing range of industry-leading systems and user interfaces, according to Micah Singer, CEO of VoIP Logic.
“The value VoIP Logic brings to carriers and service providers with these applications and extensions is getting them into the game quicker, with a more experienced team and with a lower total cost of ownership,” said Singer.
In addition, Cortex allows providers to easily add new communications technologies and innovative services to their communications offerings, said Singer.
The Cortex has a mobile application (Cortex Mobile) available for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch that allows service providers to manage and check billing status, review call history, modify phone settings, initiate calls, initiate conference calls, access Apple contacts, Broadsoft/Sylantro contacts, and check voicemail through a visual interface.
The Broadsoft/SylantroMobile is VoIP Logic’s brand-able Apple App-store application that service providers using the Broadsoft Broadworks platform, and the Sylantro Synergy (News
) platform, can provide to their business and consumer end-users to manage and control their telephone features.
From ITEXPO (News
) today, VoIP Logic also announced an 82 percent increase in annual revenue from 2007 to 2008; an expanded customer footprint into Central and Latin America; an increase of 40 carrier Managed Services customers; as well as an additional 8 new retail VoIP service providers using Cortex OSS.
“Now, more than ever, outsourcing telecom deployment, integration and ongoing support for VoIP technology has proven to be a cost-effective and a results-driven decision for carriers and service providers who have become more sensitive to ROI,” said Singer.
VoIP Logic now provides infrastructure, integration and technology assistance to more than 160 carriers and service providers worldwide.
