Nimbuzz also includes support for regional social networks such as StudiVZ, the biggest German speaking social network, Hyves for The Netherlands, and Gadu-Gadu in Poland.
As a lifestyle application, Nimbuzz is available on the mobile phone, PC and Web, for group calling, instant messaging, group chat, file sharing across popular Instant Messaging communities and social networks.
The application features a centralized contact list that aggregates contacts of the most popular social and IM networks.
Nimbuzz opens up new opportunities for communication among networking communities. With this, users can share their location and retrieve the location of their friends on map and arrange face-to-face meetings.
It uses Internet to let users make free international calls. Also, they can communicate through the landlines or mobile phones of their friends through the VoIP account.
Users can send a ‘buzz’ to their buddies if they are offline. The buzz will start the Nimbuzz Mobile on their mobile phone. Also, with the help of the phone book, users can back up and restore the contacts.
An important update of Nimbuzz is the Personal Message that allows users to broadcast real-time status updates to all contacts, presence information to see who is online and where, and emoticons for additional expression.
Nimbuzz grows at the rate of over 10,000 new users and more than 10 million per day, claims the company. With this service, Nimbuzz has positioned itself to become the largest global communications platform for seamless IP-based communication among mobile devices and social media platforms.
