Global Wireless Entertainment (GWE) have teamed on jointly exploring the development of mobile games and applications for the new generation of touch screen phones based on the iPhone (

Alert) and
Google Android platforms. The new TapSlide/GWE mobile games and applications are scheduled for release in the coming months.
GWE will research its licenses and brands under management and pick the ones that can be developed by TapSlide into mobile applications and games. Under the agreement, TapSlide will extend the GWE portfolio of licenses and brands into the new realm of touch screen phones that feature latest operating systems from
Apple and Google (

Alert).
Both companies aim to build upon the market and deploy games and applications that utilize the Apple (
News -
Alert) iPhone and Google Android mobile platforms.
TapSlide is a major publisher of iPhone, Android, and Symbian (
News -
Alert) mobile applications. The company specializes in the creation of applications for the advertising and promotions industries. Mike Stemple, CEO of TapSlide said that their company is extremely excited to be working with GWE in creating mobile applications for some of their brands. He also acknowledged the knowledge and connections Paul and his team at GWE brings to TapSlide and looks forward to some very exciting developments from this partnership.
Global Wireless Entertainment is the parent company to San Diego-based company
Skinit, Inc., which provides OEMs, wireless carriers, MVNOs and distributors with turnkey personalization platforms. Paul Buss, CEO of GWE noted that Mike Stemple is an industry visionary who has proven that he can create successful products and companies.
