IPhone -Myvu Crystal now fully compatible with Apple iPhone


The Myvu Crystal released by Myvu Corporation (News - Alert) is now fully compatible with Apple iPhone, according to the company. Myvu says its Crystal is already compatible with Apple iPod with video models.
 
Myvu Crystal is a slimmer and sleeker set of video goggles for watching videos hosted on iPod and other media devices. They are stated to be convenient buy for users who want to watch video without having to hold an iPod up to the face.
 
Myvu Corporation is a supplier of eyewear viewers for the portable electronics industry. According to the company, medical and military applications served as the company's fundamental technology drivers, which provided the discipline for quality, adjustment, safety and usability that have culminated in Myvu's consumer products.
 
According to the company, the Myvu personal media viewer has the SolidOptex optical technology incorporated inside a unique eyewear frame to form a comfortable, compact design. The solution is for viewing broadcasted and downloaded entertainment on cell phones and portable media players.
 
The product is now upgraded to be connected with an iPhone (News - Alert).
 
Inside the headset is a solid optical display that sports 640- by 480-pixel (VGA) resolution, although reviewers have said that the image is still restricted to a 4:3 aspect ratio as “letterboxing” can be seen on the top and bottom of widescreen aspect-ratio-corrected videos.

Crystal is built with a 30 pin dock connector plug that enables it to be connected with iPod, iPhone and various other media devices too. It can be plugged with any composite-video source. So Crystal can also be used to watch video from a personal media player, personal DVD player, or other device with adequate video quality.
 
Myvu Crystal includes a rechargeable battery, a USB charging cable and noise-canceling earphones from Ultimate Ears. Available in black or amber, Myvu Crystal offers the highest resolution in the Myvu line (full VGA) and the widest field-of-view. It retails for $299.95 MSRP.
