Wi-Ex, a company providing cell phone signal boosters, offers a new product line that will extend cell zones for users by improving signal strength for better voice and data transmission while maintaining the integrity of the carriers’ networks using patent-pending technology.

 

The company develops, manufactures and distributes zBoost, a cell phone signal booster for the home, office or car. Its products increase indoor cell phone signals for all phones, including the popular iPhone (News - Alert).

 

According to a recent survey by Harris Interactive, more than 70 percent of cell phone owners have experienced service problems such as dropped calls (45 percent), poor signal reception (36 percent) or dead zones (34 percent). Also, 62 percent of them claim to have done something special in order to make or receive a call.

 

This loss of coverage may be due to environmental obstructions, building materials, metal roofs, high-speed data (reduces coverage) and network interference. New applications such as email, text messaging, picture mail, Internet browsing or downloading require a stronger signal. Many countries in the world rely more heavily on their mobile phones, due to a lack of landline infrastructure.

 

Wi-Ex brings an entire line of zBoost products that capture the stronger signal from the outside and amplify the signal indoors to reduce dropped calls and improve cell phone signal.

 

Apart from increasing signal for voice transmission, zBoost also increases signal and speed of aircards, EDGE and 3G technology. zboost products protect the carrier network, support voice calls or data services and work with all phones and carriers, except Nextel.

 

These low-cost products are compatible with 800MHz and 1900MHz and easy to set up. The products include zBoost Dual Band, zBoost zP and zBoost Car Unit.

 

zBoost Dual Band-YX510 extends Cell Zones up to 2,500 sq. feet and supports multiple users and carriers. It costs $399, and is a perfect solution for users with a home office or a home with many dead zones.

 

The zBoost zPersonal (zP) YX300 creates a personal Cell Zone for a small living/work space or travel to increase signal strength. With a price of $169, it features a compact size and easy set up. Apart from increasing cell phone signal, the zBoost zPersonal also increases signal for aircards.

 

zboost Car Unit YX230 allows miles of uninterrupted voice and data transmission by extending cell phone signal up to 10 times the average strength. The unit eliminates dead zones and extends battery life for long drives, and is priced at $299.
