FunMobility, a provider of wireless community and media services has launched YouTones, which the company says is the first user-generated ringtone application currently available for download on the iPhone (News - Alert).

 

Launched in August 2008, YouTones from FunMobility allows users to personalize content and create ringtones or audio messages by combining their own voices with pre-recorded, thematic YouTones performances. It brings personalization tools to iPhone users allowing them to easily record, mix, and publish original ringtones and share them with friends.

 

YouTones has already achieved phenomenal success on carrier decks, averaging about 10,000 paid downloads a day, and its launch on iPhone and easy integration with the iTunes media library and address books means that millions of customers will be able to easily access and share their original content with family and friends.

 

YouTones is currently available on several handsets and across carriers such as Alltel, AT&T (News - Alert), Metro PCS and Verizon Wireless.
