IPhone -Flick Bowling Now Available for iPhone and iPod Touch

For those of you who have never tried to bowl with technology, you are missing out. The Nintendo Wii makes the game fun without the funky shoes and now, the iPhone (News - Alert) is opening up a whole new world for the sport and to play, you only need fingers.

Freeverse has announced the release of Flick Bowling for the iPhone and iPod touch. This latest game offers a unique game-play experience that is designed to allow a player to have more control of the action.

For instance, with a flick of their finger, players can line up their shot and adjust the speed and direction of the ball. Flick Bowling is considered to be visually stunning as it features colorful characters and fully 3D console-quality environments.

“This game would not be possible on any handheld device besides the iPhone,” said Ian Lynch Smith, president of Freeverse, in a Wednesday statement. “The touch screen interface allows us to build games that have never been possible before.”

Freeverse has plans to release additional Flick Sports titles for the iPhone, which include Flick Fishing, Golf, Basketball, Baseball, and Soccer. Each game is designed for exciting and intuitive gameplay using the iPhone's multi-touch technology.

When the iPhone was initially released with its touchscreen capability, consumers flocked to the device as it offered something new.

The same can be expected with these games, and Freeverse is making them affordable and easily accessible for download. Such an approach will ensure rapid adoption and could even help to drive demand for the iPhone in broader markets.

Flick Bowling is immediately available from the iTunes App Store for $4.99. For more information, please visit: http://freeverse.com/games/game/?id=8011.

Freeverse is building a reputation by developing and publishing seamless software, with a particular concentration on the Mac OS and the iPhone platform. Considering the growing demand for such solutions and the increase in market share for Apple (News - Alert), such a focus can prove to be very profitable.

The company’s developed and published titles have been honored with more Apple Design Awards from any other company and its original characters have appeared in TimeDigital, Wired and Animation World magazines, as well as television commercials for Blockbuster Video.
