IPhone -Microsoft Office Online Features CompanionLink Software

Microsoft (News - Alert) Corporation has decided to feature CompanionLink Software as a mobile synchronization solutions provider in the Help and How-To Section of the Microsoft Office Online Website, which will allow two-way data synchronization between Business Contact Manager and handheld devices.

The CompanionLink Professional software package will synchronize business contacts, calendar events and details, recurring appointments, notes, opportunities, business projects, project tasks, and marketing campaigns to the native address book, calendar, and tasks applications on BlackBerry (News - Alert), Palm OS, and Windows Mobile devices.

For synchronization with the iPhone, CompanionLink has developed proprietary calendar and tasks applications that run on the device with which Business Contact Manager data can be synchronized, the company says.

"Our software fills a void that Microsoft's synchronization solutions for Outlook Business Contact Manager do not address," said Rushang Shah, director of marketing at CompanionLink Software.

"While Microsoft's solutions work with Windows Mobile devices, our software is able to synchronize Outlook Business Contact Manager data with other mobile platforms like BlackBerry, iPhone (News - Alert) and Palm OS," Shah added.

CompanionLink Software is a developer of data synchronization solutions for mobile phones, PDAs and CRM software. They also provide OEM synchronization and solutions for companies like Sage Software, NVIDIA, Google (News - Alert), and Royal Consumer Electronic Products.

CompanionLink has decided to offer a free 14-day evaluation version of their software from their website. CompanionLink Professional is available for $99.95.
