Facilitating the collection of assisted living resident vital signs to an iPhone (News - Alert) or iPad, Vigilan, provider of software for better senior living, has announced the Beta release of a new mobile application.
The features of the new mobile app include the ability to download resident basic data from the Vigilan Administrator database. The charting app pulls the latest data about residents into the mobile device, eliminating the need to enter names on move in or move out. Also, to see and update the same information about a community's residents, data SharingPermission controls allow the sharing of resident data for all staff, the company stated in a press release.
“The use of mobile devices in healthcare has skyrocketed,” said Doug Fullaway, president and CEO of Vigilan in a company press release. “Vigilan's HIPAA compliant mobile app addresses a significant need to connect care providers to up-to-date resident data at the time of care. Our customers will see an immediate benefit in time savings and improved quality of care.”
Other features include mobile collection of vital signs to your iPhone or iPad Staff can enter the resident data at the point of care; weight TrendingReporting provides an immediate view of resident's weight over time; AlertsAny user can set alerts for any situation that needs special attention for other caregivers, the nurse or the administrator; and the software encrypts the data when it is sent from the phone to the database. No data is stored on the phone.
Recently, the company announced that the inclusion of Maryland forms to its flagship product, Vigilan Care Suite. This addition to the Vigilan Care Suite enables Maryland Assisted Living providers to simplify the preparation of all of the required state forms. Using Vigilan to create and submit the required Maryland forms enables Assisted Living providers to: Ensure that service plans and assessments always match.
