Educational Testing Service (ETS), developers of the TOEFL and TOEIC Tests, has partnered with SpeakingPal Ltd., a mobile education company that focuses on improving English speaking skills by turning the phone into a personal tutor, to develop SpeakingPal Plus! The application has been designed to enable users to develop English speaking skills from any location and at anytime.
The announcement which was made by ETS officials also stated that free trials of the SpeakingPal Plus! product have been made available at the Apple (News
- Alert) App store and the Android Market and through selected product distributors of ETS across the globe. The new SpeakingPal Plus! mobile product has been designed to feature selected ETS content.
Offering an extensive range of interactive exercises, roly playing tutorials, language based tasks and unique TOEIC exercises from ETS for improving English speaking skills, SpeakingPal Plus! is a subscription-based English-language learning system. More than 10,000 business and government organizations across 120 countries leverage TOEIC tests.

SpeakingPal Plus! features a speech recognition tool and contains mini-lessons designed to help students learn English in small sessions which are 5 minutes long so students can learn these lessons on a daily basis. Interactions between the user and the SpeakingPal Plus! product are short and contain real-life dialogs. The product gives the user instant feedback on the performance of the speaking skills of the student.
