Apple Endorses Packing Pro for Traveling Home for the Holidays

Apple computer is endorsing Packing Pro, the popular travel app for the iPhone (News - Alert), iPad and iPod touch by QuinnScape.

The company has also given space to this application in its "Traveling Home" App Store. This promotion has made Packing Pro a top 10 U.S. travel app for both the iPhone and iPad.

Packing Pro started nearly three years ago. Now it has reached the top three in both the iPhone and iPad iTunes Travel sections for the U.S, Canada and Australia.

According to a press release, Packing Pro has also been featured in Apple's summer 2009 Travel Guide and recognized by National Geographic and American Express' (News - Alert) Travel + Leisure (two years in a row) as one of the best travel apps for the iPhone, as well as earning glowing reviews on major tech and app blogs (148Apps, iLounge and TUAW, among others).

In a bid to cater to customers who want to get travel information on their smartphones, Packing Pro features an extensive, customizable catalog, several handy sample lists that can be used as templates and unlimited customizable packing lists.

Packing Pro had also selected as a finalist in the 2010 Best App Ever Award competition this year in January and Apple has also chosen it as a Staff Favorite.

Additionally, Packing Pro includes multi-item selection for speedy list building, collapsible categories and running item tallies, numerous packing list sorting and display options, weight and value total, Import / export to other Packing apps and devices and fully customized device support for iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads.

Beside all these features, Packing Pro also offers its users complete control over the look and feel of the app (themes, layout, fonts, colors, textures), twice as many sample lists, a double-sized Master Catalog with over 800 items and to-do tasks, Smart Search, an Expert packing list wizard that can "automajically" help you create a customized list, and iTunes and email file sharing and out-of-app editing support.
