FinancialForce Timecards App for the iPhone Launched on AppExchange

FinancialForce.com, a cloud applications company, has recently released the Timecards App for the iPhone (News - Alert), on salesforce.com's AppExchange Mobile.

Currently available for test drive on AppExchange Mobile to all users of FinancialForce Professional Services Automation, FinancialForce Timecards for the iPhone help professional services organizations stay connected no matter where they work.

PSA is FinancialForce.com’s premier services management application based on Force.com.

Ron Huddleston, senior vice president, ISV Alliances, salesforce.com, said: “Apps like these exemplify the extraordinary reach of the AppExchange marketplace and continue to push the social, mobile, open and trusted capabilities customers expect from the salesforce.com ecosystem.”

Leveraging the form factor of the iPhone and unique capabilities of iOS, the FinancialForce Timecards for the iPhone, allow professional services organizations to stay connected while on the road or at a customer’s site.

Completely integrated with FinancialForce PSA and Salesforce Chatter, the app taps into the social, mobile and open capabilities of cloud computing, helping customers transform into social enterprises.

The consultants, with the help of FinancialForce Timecards for the iPhone, are able to quickly and easily enter their time, view the status of timecards, match time to each assignment and post to project walls enabled by Salesforce Chatter.

Since the timecards are collected more quickly, the downstream activities like billing, project reporting and resource management, become more efficient.

By utilizing Chatter on the project, the consultants are also able to replace emails, voice mails and conference calls with Chatter streams that become part of the audit trail for each project. Officials said that this helps increase awareness of all the team members involved with the project, making the team more efficient and able to provide a higher level of service to clients.

In related news, ArcMail for Salesforce Chatter, an archiving appliance ensuring delivery of cutting-edge levels of compliance, data discovery and liability protection, has been unveiled by ArcMail Technology.
