A new mobile app has been launched by FinancialForce.com on salesforce.com's AppExchange Mobile. For the first time, salesforce.com's social enterprise platform for employee social apps has been leveraged by the FinancialForce Timecards for the iPhone (News - Alert). All users of FinancialForce Professional Services Automation or PSA can avail FinancialForce Timecards for the iPhone for test drive on AppExchange Mobile. An announcement in this regard has been made by the cloud applications company, FinancialForce.com.
The form factor of the iPhone and the unique capabilities of iOS are leveraged by FinancialForce Timecards for the iPhone. Professional services organizations can therefore stay connected while on the road or at a customer's site. Consultants can quickly and easily enter their time and view the status of timecards with FinancialForce Timecards for the iPhone. Consultants can also match time to each assignment and post to project walls enabled by Salesforce Chatter with the app.
In a release, Todd Bursey, GM of professional services automation, FinancialForce.com said, "By nature, professional services teams are mobile, geographically dispersed, and working in different time zones, but need to be in constant sync to collaborate on projects and meet customers' needs successfully."
According to Bursey, the new mobile and social capabilities that the cloud enables must be leveraged by collaborative businesses like professionals services. Apart from providing a high level of service, the cloud will allow the businesses to stay competitive and grow. Professional services organizations are provided solutions to overcome the problem of aligning far flung sales, service and finance teams by FinancialForce.com. Organizations can therefore achieve their business goals.
