Want to Silence Your Phone Alarm by Waving Your Hand? There's an App for That

Just when you thought there was nothing new in software, the folks at Augmented Minds have blown us away with a new revolutionary application.

You no longer have to fumble helplessly in the dark to silence your clock in the morning, or perpetually abuse the snooze function on your phone in the morning. There is now an app for that. All you have to do is simply wave your hand and your alarm turns off.

With many people using their mobile phones as alarm clocks, it can be a little frustrating to find your phone when you’re half asleep to shut it off. According to statistics, six out of 10 people wake up in a bad mood because of a complicated alarm.

The idea behind the Wave Alarm app is to help people avoid cranky mornings simply because they can’t turn off their alarm clocks.

Wave Alarm works by silencing or snoozing your phone with just a wave of your hand over the device. The app reads motion through the phone to put it into either the snooze or silence mode, without having to touch it.

The app also includes other features, such as the ability to wake up to music from your iPod library, 10 beautiful alarm sounds to choose from, and a number of background alarms.

Augmented Minds has been known to make unique apps for unique people, and this is one of the apps that is truly unique to all of us. The company believes not all apps are created equal, and the Wave Alarm is clearly on top of the list.

You can download the Wave Alarm app for free to your Android or iOS device.
