Philips Introduces Docking Speakers with Lightning Connector for Apple iPhone 5


Philips (News - Alert), a company working toward converting people's lives through meaningful innovation in the areas of healthcare, consumer lifestyle and lighting, has debuted a new range of docking speakers with Apple's (News - Alert) new Lightning connector that are compatible with Lightning enabled devices.

Users can expect better sound performance in the new docking speakers compared to the analog processing technology common in current docking speakers, said the company officials.

The Philips Urban Micro System (DCM3155) packed with Apple's new Lightning connector, CD player and FM radio, provides 50W RMS of music power. It poses a contemporary design for the modern home and can fit anywhere taking a small space.

In addition, the Philips Lifestyle Music System (DCM2067) comes in a slim design and can charge and play music from Lightning enabled devices through its retractable Lightning dock. This system accompanies a CD player and FM radio and offers 20W RMS power to provide a great sound performance.

Philips Portable Docking Speaker (DS7580) is also featured that consists of Philips' wOOx technology to offer a rich and deep bass. It enables exact tuning between the speaker drivers which ensures a smooth transition between low- to mid- and high-frequencies. It has a built-in battery that can work for eight hours enabling users to enjoy music anywhere.

The company has also introduced Philips Room to Room Docking Speaker (DS3205) with high-quality neodymium speakers and Philips Bedroom Docking Speaker (DS1155) with 360-degree design to offer omni-directional sound with its docking speaker automatically synchronizing with the clock of a users Apple device.

The company confirmed that the full range of Docking Speakers with Lightning connector will be available in selected retailers and Philips online.
