Accusoft Unveils Barcode Reader App for iOS

Accusoft has unveiled a Barcode Scanner app for iOS that can recognize over 30 barcodes including 1D, 2D and postal barcodes. This app makes use of Barcode Xpress Mobile SDK that offers support for DataMatrix, PDF417, QR Code, UPC, Code 128, and 25 other types.

The barcode scanner is useful to scan books, UPC codes on products and QR Codes to go to Web pages. In addition, this app utilizes the Barcode Xpress Mobile engine to read and extract data from many unique barcode types, such as PDF417, DataMatrix, Code 11, Code 39, Code 128, Code 93, and many more.

“We are very pleased to announce the Accusoft Barcode Scanner app for iOS so soon after our Android (News - Alert) app release. This gives developers the chance to test drive an Accusoft product on Android and now iOS without having to write any code,” said Tom Setzer, director of Recognition at Accusoft. “Organizations that utilize the Barcode Xpress Mobile SDK in their applications will be able to take advantage of the most accurate and fastest barcode recognition that is currently available.”

The Accusoft Barcode Scanner can be an ideal resource for companies that need to track inventory, index documents, access medical records and more. It is also useful for industries such as retail, industrial, transportation and medical.
