Brainshark (News - Alert), a company specializing in online and mobile presentations, has enhanced its SlideShark free app for viewing and sharing PowerPoint on any iPad or iPhone.
Joe Gustafson, Brainshark CEO, said in a statement, “We’re excited to unveil these new features, making it easier to access content, and deliver more impressive and effortless presentations. Users have been asking for the iPhone (News - Alert) remote, and will benefit from the flexibility and professionalism it provides.”
“In addition, we’re pleased to work with such popular and dependable cloud storage providers as Box (News - Alert) and Dropbox. Now, users can get their files, wherever they reside, into SlideShark - and then take advantage of our unique features for viewing and delivering presentations on iOS devices,” Gustafson added.
SlideShark users will be able to instantly access and import PowerPoints that are stored with cloud storage providers, where they can easily view and present their content. Users have to link their SlideShark account with their Box and/or Dropbox (News - Alert) accounts for accessing Box or Dropbox content.
Users can pick which PowerPoint file they want to import into SlideShark directly from the SlideShark app on their iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. The app further allows users to view content on their iOS device with fonts, animations, graphics and colors, and users can connect to TVs and projectors to further enhance their presentations.
SlideShark users can leverage the new iPhone remote control to show a presentation on their iPad by controlling, advancing and selecting slides easily. When iPad content is projected onto large screens, users can navigate presentations using the iPhone remote, even while roaming around the presentation room.
The remote control setting in the SlideShark app in the iPhone or iPod touch has to be paired with the iPad. The devices are wirelessly linked, using Bluetooth technology, and a security code will be required to pair the devices so that only the presenter can control the presentation.
SlideShark also supports and displays video files within PowerPoints for which the videos must be embedded in the document. SlideShark supports PowerPoint files with embedded videos in .wmv format at present, said officials.
Brainshark has gained the distinction of being the “Best Video Solution” in the annual Best of Elearning! Awards given by the Elearning! Media Group, with the company being selected for its superior product innovation and customer satisfaction.
