To enhance the creativity and sharing experience of Instagram users, InstaStory, a Delaware-based company, has come up with an application allowing Instagram users to take some of their Instagram photos, match them up with their preferred music, add various transition effects and verbiage, and create a short clip which brings out the story behind the images.
The application is published on app store as “My Instastory.”
Within two weeks since the app became available on the iPhone (News - Alert) App-Store, thousands of "insta-stories" have already been shared by Instagram users, capturing interesting and personal moments with pictures of children, places, friends, pets, sports and music events – many themes that users found exciting and worthy of sharing, beyond the single photos.
Fully dedicated to Instagram ecosystem, My Instastory does not require any editing skills or complexity, nor long waiting for upload time. With 40 seconds of maximum clip time, a user can focus on a short, meaningful "story" dictated with photos and music, and create a visual and emotional medium that practically everybody can relate to and participate in – not unlike the way Twitter (News - Alert) helped people focus their expressions by limiting the messages to 140 characters.
Patrick Sebag, a video and music producer and owner of the music label "Tesha Studio," is credited with conceptualizing My Instastory.
While using Instagram, he sought a mechanism to put together some of his Instagram photos and display them to the sound of his favorite music. Not being able to find an easy tool to do that right on his iPhone, he approached his friends Dror Davidoff and Emil Alon, both successful Israeli high-tech entrepreneurs, who together built a small professional team that rapidly developed the application.
Initially, the team had used their own money to develop the application, and some investors have recently engaged in talks with InstaStory regarding capital investment.
