- Alert) has now hit another milestone. This time it’s the new iTunes for Mac and PC.
The iTunes Store is the most popular online music, app, TV and movie store with a catalog of over 26 million songs, over 700,000 apps, over 190,000 TV episodes and over 45,000 films. The iTunes Store is the best way for iOS, Mac and PC users to legally discover, purchase and download music and video online. iTunes is a well recognized media player for Mac and PC.
“We created iTunes because we love music and we’re going back to our roots with an incredibly clean design that keeps your music at the forefront,” Eddy Cue, senior vice president of Internet Software and Services at Apple, said in a statement.
“The new iTunes works seamlessly with iCloud, always keeping your entire library at your fingertips, and we’re adding great new features that make listening to your music more fun,” Cue added.
Featuring dramatically simplified design and seamless iCloud integration, the new improved iTunes is coming in October as a free download at www.itunes.com. With iCloud integration, music, movie and TV purchases made on any iOS devices or computers is conveniently displayed in iTunes library on Mac or PC, available anytime the user wants them. The redesigned iTunes Store, App Store and iBookstore is indicated to give a simplified approach for users to make buying contents on iPhone (News - Alert), iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC.
Mentioning about the new library, Apple official clarified that its view makes it easier to view music, TV shows and movies, allowing one to click on the category of content to browse. The expandable album view allows users to see track listings for an individual album, while letting them continue to browse their music library. Also, the new search feature searches across the entire iTunes library, including music, movies and TV shows. The re-imagined MiniPlayer makes it easy to control music with a small tool bar.
In other news, Apple unveiled iPhone 5, its latest generation of smartphone that features iOS 6 mobile system, 3D mobile map system and updated safari. The device comes with Youku video sharing service, which is geared specifically towards Chinese users.
