Warranty Hotel has announced the global availability of Warranty Hotel 1.0, a smartphone and tablet app for iOS devices. The consumer productivity app, which is available for $0.99 from the Apple (News - Alert) Store, is designed to drastically simplify the storage, redemption, and transfer of product warranties, including manufacturers' warranties and extended warranties, by converting paper-based warranties into actionable electronics files accessible from the consumers' iPhone (News - Alert) and iPad.

The new iOS app provides convenient mobile access to warranty documentation via iPhone or iPad devices. Warranty Hotel members can also access their warranties anytime, anywhere from their personal hosted account on the company’s website.

With this app, consumers can easily store an unlimited number of warranty certificates, receipts, repair records, and proofs-of-purchase in their cloud-based account. Warranty information can be captured in a number ways including manual entry, taking and uploading smartphone camera photos of documents, or by scanning QR codes from participating retailers' POS receipts. Consumers can also add pertinent information including warranty expiration dates, product part numbers, notes, keywords and tags to key documents to simplify locating them in the future.

In addition, the app enables consumer to easily transfer or "gift" any warranty to a secondary owner's Warranty Hotel account using only the new owner's e-mail address.
