HireVue Launches Interview Anywhere App


HireVue recently announced the launch of the HireVue App for the iPad and iPhone (News - Alert). Organizations who interview candidates online will benefit from this new app as it enables companies to speed up their recruiting process and give their candidates a better interview experience.   

In a release, HireVue’s CEO, David Bradford said, “Top talent is always in demand, and providing candidates with an innovative, unique interview helps companies support a stellar employment brand. Nielsen’s recent State of Mobile report shows that smartphone ownership has more than doubled in the past two years and mobile video consumption has increased 35 percent in the last year. With reports that Apple (News - Alert) sold more iOS devices in the last year than it sold computers in the company’s history, HireVue App will help our customers meet a vastly growing base of candidates where ever, whenever and however it’s most convenient for them.”

The HireVue App helps companies and candidates bridge the interview gap by providing a fast and easy method to complete digital interviews from anywhere by utilizing an iPhone or iPad. The app gives employers a better option as they now have the ability to recruit from a large framework. By using the app, they can reach out to a wider and more diverse candidate base from around the world who may not always have ready access to computers.

Mark Smith CEO and chief research officer of Ventana Research said, “Our recruiting benchmark research has found that mobile access to systems for interacting with candidates is important in 57 percent of organizations. HireVue’s approach to embracing smartphones and tablets like Apple iPhone and iPad is a significant advantage for those organizations who are looking to reduce the time to hire that our research finds is a top-ranked recruiting metric in 53 percent of organizations.”

HireVue has a number of applications that improves management of all interview types such as video, in person, and phone-based interviews. Companies will be able to record interviews, watch, replay and even share interviews online with their colleagues and then make key decisions about whether to shortlist a candidate and bring them on board.
