A leading provider of hosted Exchange cloud-based communications apps and services for smartphones, YouMail (News - Alert), has released its latest update to the iOS Visual Voicemail Plus application for iPhone (News - Alert), iPad, and iPod Touch.
These new updates from YouMail greatly enhance the YouMail iPhone user experience by making it more fun and beneficial. With the new In-App Community Greetings, users will be able to easily browse, search, and add to YouMail's growing set of tens of thousands of user-provided greetings all from within the comfort of the app itself.
Users are just a few taps away from finding the perfect professionally recorded greeting or to "RickRoll" their friends. YouMail has also leveraged Google’s (News
- Alert) mobile search into the new Number Search app so that with just one tap users will be able to find out exactly who sends them messages and whether or not they should be blocked forever. As a user, all you have to do is just tap the new magnifying glass on the voicemail playing page to search for more info on the caller's phone number.
In a release, CEO Alex Quilici said, "YouMail has always had a very rich, Web-based experience for computer users. We're now focused on making that mobile and bringing it into the YouMail app itself." For those iOS users who are not yet YouMail users, they will be able to explore the YouMail greeting community by pointing their iPhone to http://greetings.youmail.com.
YouMail is currently being made available to all post-paid mobile users in the U.S. on all major carriers including AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless (News - Alert), Sprint, and T-Mobile. YouMail also has the ability to unify a user's mobile voicemail with their voice messages from VoIP service providers such as Google Voice, MagicJack, OOMA, and Vonage (News
- Alert).
