Viableware's RAIL™ Certifies to Leading Payment Processors for Secure Transactions at Full-Service Restaurants
KIRKLAND, Wash. --(Business Wire)--
Viableware,
innovators of the RAIL™
payment platform for full-service restaurants, today announced that
the RAIL payment processing technology has been certified to the
security standards of 11 of the leading payment processors that
represent more than $1.6 trillion in combined credit, debit and prepaid
card transactions annually in the United States.
The network of payment processors certifying the RAIL payment security
technology includes American Express (News - Alert), First Data Merchant Services,
Global Payments, Heartland, Merchant e-Solutions, Moneris, NOVA
(Elavon), Paymentech, TSYS, Vantiv, and WorldPay.
"The certification of our payment platform s significant because it
means full-service restaurant operators can rely on the RAIL for access
to the payment industry's key processors," said Joe Snell, CEO of
Viableware. "The RAIL platform serves as a turnkey payment processing
technology for full-service restaurant operators looking to achieve PCI (News - Alert)
compliance - and to provide guests with the assurance that all sensitive
cardholder data is protected from the moment the card is swiped."
The RAIL payment platform seamlessly integrates with leading restaurant
POS systems from MICROS, NCR Aloha, and Dinerware to securely accept
payments at the table. The platform utilizes a fleet of handheld devices
designed to replicate the look and feel of the traditional bill
presentation folder used at most full-service restaurants - but unlike
the original, the RAIL devices enable guests to self-swipe credit or
debit cards, auto-calculate the tip, split the bill multiple ways,
pay-by-item, and direct-email receipts.
In June, Viableware announced a partnership with Magtek to secure all
transactions using the RAIL payment platform. The payment protection
technology engineered by Magtek that is integrated within each RAIL
device is PCI compliant and is able to instantly encrypt sensitive card
data at the point of swipe by using a unique encryption key with every
transaction.
