Apple just keeps marching ahead
Jul 16, 2012 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) --
US computer device maker Apple continues to expand its markets. The loss of founder Steve Jobs in 2011 has not checked its relentless progress. The iPhone is the product that has had the greatest impact on the market and on Apple's profits. The iPhone is a great threat to telcos, especially its text messaging and video calling systems. It is very popular but telcos have to pay a high price for the iPhone. There is speculation that Apple is seeking access to content to allow a move into the smart TV market.
