PlayNetwork, a global leader in providing integrated media experiences for businesses, today announces it has promoted Darrell Champagne to Executive Vice President, Operations. The company also announces a key hire in its Direct Sales Organization, with Robert (Bob) J. Simril joining as Senior Vice President, Direct Sales and Account Management. The moves strengthen PlayNetwork's leadership as a media entertainment services company and ability to capitalize on market opportunities.

In his new role as Executive Vice President, Operations, Champagne will oversee the growth and development for the company in areas of client and information services, production, inventory, warehouse management and systems integration. He will also serve as executive sponsor of PlayNetwork's Guiding Principles Committee, a set of core company values that helps drive company culture and engage employees. And as the company's newest EVP, Champagne will join PlayNetwork's Executive Management team � consisting of Lon Troxel, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer; Craig Hubbell, Executive Vice President, Media Services, Sales and Marketing; and Sue Hoover, Chief Financial Officer � in driving the strategic direction of the company for 2009 and beyond.

Most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Operations/Audio and Video Systems Services, Champagne has been a key driver behind PlayNetwork's aggressive growth since joining the company in 1999. Champagne has more than 20 years experience in the commercial audio-video arena. Previously, he served as a top manufacturer representative of commercial and professional sound products for BOSE Corporation and Toa Electronics. During his tenure at these companies, Champagne was responsible for managing the sale and implementation of large-venue systems, including installations at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Carrier Dome in Syracuse and Air Canada Center in Toronto.

To further capitalize on strong industry interest in its media solutions and its reputation for unparalleled client service, PlayNetwork also welcomes longtime industry veteran Bob J. Simril as its new Senior Vice President, Direct Sales and Account Management. In this role, Simril will serve as the chief strategist for the company's direct sales and strategic account management organizations. With more than 25 years of experience and proven success in industries including beverage, digital media, insurance, business consulting and training, Simril brings a wealth of knowledge in national account management, development and acquisition to his post at PlayNetwork. Previously, Simril served as Vice President and Division General Manager for MP3.com, where he was instrumental in launching Trusonic, the first B2B subscription-based digital media and online advertising service. Simril has also held sales and account management positions with Robbins Research International (RRI), AEI Music Network, OUM and Associates, and Coca-Cola USA.
